Madedido Arrested Over Kadoma Show No-Show
Zimdancehall musician Madedido has been arrested after he failed to perform at a scheduled family show in Kadoma, leaving the event organiser with a US$940 loss.
The 23-year-old artist was picked up by police at his home in Seke Unit M after a complaint was lodged against him.
How the Deal Unravelled
According to The Herald, promoter Pride Makazhu Chihoro booked Madedido for a family show slated for November 15 in Rimuka, Kadoma.
The artist reportedly committed to the performance but never showed up on the day of the event.
Chihoro later filed a report at Rimuka Police Station, stating that he had fully paid the artist but was left without an act after Madedido allegedly ignored the agreement.

Arrest and Ongoing Inquiry
Police launched an investigation which led them to Madedido’s residence in Seke, where the musician was arrested on fraud charges.
Authorities say the matter is now under further inquiry as they work to determine whether the artist intentionally prejudiced the promoter.
Social Media Reacts
Social media users have reacted sharply to Madedido’s arrest, with many arguing that he should pay back the money. Several commenters highlighted ongoing professionalism issues within the Zimdancehall scene, noting that some artists often mishandle bookings and disappoint fans. Others simply blamed the organizer for booking Madedido in the first place.
