‘Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi’ Gets Second Season

The official website of the television anime adaptation of Kazune Kawahara‘s Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi (A Star Brighter Than the Sun) manga announced a second season on Friday, revealing a congratulatory illustration (pictured).
Produced by Studio KAI, the first season, consisting of 12 episodes, premiered in Fall 2025. Amazon Prime Video streamed the anime with subtitles and dubs in multiple languages.
Kawahara (Ore Monogatari!!) began serializing the school romance manga in June 2021 in Bessatsu Margaret magazine. Shueisha shipped the 12th volume on August 25, with the 13th volume planned for release on December 24.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in May 2024. The fourth volume shipped on December 2, with the fifth volume scheduled for release on March 3, 2026.
