Sony Music Publishing has officially signed 20-year-old singer-songwriter Sienna Spiro to an exclusive global publishing agreement—cementing her place among pop’s fastest-rising talents.
The deal represents the latest move by SMP to expand its portfolio of emerging songwriters with strong streaming and social footprints. Sienna has emerged as a streaming phenomenon with 6.6 million monthly Spotify listeners and 1.5 million TikTok followers. With vocal and songwriting endorsements from industry heavyweights including SZA, Snoh Aalegra, Finneas, and Mark Ronson, Spiro’s signing underscores SMP’s commitment to supporting the next wave of genre-blending artists.
Her 2025 debut EP SINK NOW, SWIM LATER helped define her distinctive, cinematic pop sound. The project has surpassed 122 million Spotify streams and features her viral hit “MAYBE.” That song topped four separate Spotify global viral charts while accumulating over 600 million TikTok views.
“So honored and excited to start my journey with Sony Music Publishing,” Spiro commented on the news. “I’m so grateful to everyone on the team who’s supported me, and I can’t wait for what’s ahead.”
“It’s clear Sienna’s vocals are undeniably special, but her voice as a songwriter is its own quiet force,” adds Scout Easley, Vice President of Creative A&R at SMP and Adam Ikner, Director of Creative A&R. “Her instinct for emotional storytelling makes listeners not just hear her but feel every moment with her. We’re so excited to be a part of Sienna’s team and for everything that’s in store.”
Beyond streaming success, Sienna has already proven her presence on stage. Her first UK/EU headline tour sold out in minutes earlier t his year and she went on to support Sam Smith during their To Be Free: New York City residency. Spiro has also appeared at major events including All Points East in London and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend. She’s also supported Teddy Swims on tour across the United States.
