Retired Dota 2 GOATs Return to Competition, but There’s a Twist
Written by admin on January 20, 2026
Dota 2 fans are in for a trip down memory lane as three of the game’s most influential players reunite and return to competition. Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, Sébastien “Ceb” Debs, and Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen have formed a new team, though they’ll be playing with a slightly different setup this time around.
The trio formed the core of the back-to-back International-winning OG roster in 2018 and 2019, with N0tail often considered one of the true GOATs of the Dota 2 scene. Now, they’re back in slightly different circumstances.
Making Up for a Missed Reunion
The legendary trio were originally meant to play together again earlier in 2025 at Games of the Future, which was a tournament that included other retired Dota 2 players and streamers. However, they later decided to boycott the event due to its alleged links to the Russian government.
After considering new information that was not known at the time of acceptance, we have decided to withdraw from the event.

Pulling out of the tournament was a big blow for longtime OG fans, who were hoping to see their heroes reunite. That being said, the gang has since made up for it by putting together a new stack under the Monkey Business banner – the team name N0tail played under before founding OG.
Monkey Business Introduces Stream Team
Since stepping away from competition, you can find N0tail, Ceb, and Topson actively streaming on Twitch. Now, the two-time TI winners have decided to take things a step further by putting together a new roster and forming a “stream team.”
The new Monkey Business roster features the following players:
- Indji “Shad” Lub
- Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen
- Johan “N0tail” Sundstein
- Axel “Pablo” Källman
- Sébastien “Ceb” Debs
New faces aren’t the only thing different this time around, as N0tail will be playing Offlane, while Ceb switches over to Hard Support, effectively swapping roles they were best known for.
Monkey Business First Tournament
The Monkey Business squad registered for EPL Championship 1 – a $7,500 online tournament. This prize pool is peanuts compared to the millions they’ve won previously, but the tournament is still worth watching because the entire team is bringing a new level of transparency.

All five team members have been live-streaming their scrims and official matches on their respective Twitch channels. Not only can you watch their gameplay live, but you can also listen to how TI-winning players communicate in a competitive environment.
The team has already played and won its first match, taking down ALOHASQUAD in a very dominant 2-0 victory. Regardless of how far the team goes, the team’s comeback to the scene has already been a big win for fans to follow.
