Mergui Signs With Universal Records/REPUBLIC Collective

Pop singer Mergui has signed with Universal Records/REPUBLIC Collective in partnership with Saban Music Partners.

“Signing with Universal Records/REPUBLIC Collective is truly a dream come true,” Mergui says. “I grew up listening to so many of the artists on the label, so joining their roster feels surreal. I’m excited to see what we can accomplish together.”

Mergui’s first release under the new arrangement is “3 Tears,” out Friday (Jan. 23). He penned the song with Amy Allen and Andrew Wells.

Israeli-born Mergui has been based in Los Angeles for more than two years and already released a series of EPs on Saban Music Partners, including 2022’s Dark Side of the Rainbow, 2024’s Shadows of Blue and 2025’s Nobody Really Knows

“Mergui is a once in a lifetime talent and I’m thrilled for Saban Music Partners to join with Universal Records / REPUBLIC Collective to bring his music to a wider audience,” said Saban. “With our combined vision and passion, there’s no doubt Mergui is poised for extraordinary things ahead.”

Mergui has opened for acts including Bruno Mars and Maroon 5 and most recently supported Forest Blakk on his The Love & Loss Tour on 28 dates across North America.
