Manga ‘Reiwa no Dara-san’ Gets TV Anime in 2026

Production company Kadokawa opened an official website for a television anime adaptation for Haruomi Tomotsuka‘s Reiwa no Dara-san (Dara-san of Reiwa) manga on Thursday, revealing the main staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and announcement promo. The anime series will air in 2026.

Tomotsuka originally began drawing the manga as a webcomic on his official X (formerly Twitter) account in October 2021 before beginning serialization on the ComicWalker (now Kadocomi) platform in March 2022. Kadokawa published the sixth volume on June 23, with the seventh volume set to be released on December 23.

Yen Press licensed the manga in English in December 2024 and published the second volume on November 25.

Reiwa no Dara-san placed among the top 20 titles in the Male Readers’ category in the 2024 edition of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! rankings.

Synopsis
Clouds blacken the sky and sheets of rain turn the mountain forest into a treacherous maze… A landslide crushes a razor wire fence, and buries a “NO TRESPASSING” sign… Two young siblings wander into a dark world where they do not belong, and a long, horrid shadow rears up to meet them—Anyway, so that’s how we met Dara-san! She might look kinda scary, but just wait until you get to know her!
