The inaugural edition of Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show attracted 206,159 attendees and 294 exhibitors and country pavilions.

The event, which was held in Bangkok after Gamescom Asia merged with Thailand Game Show earlier this year, broke the previous attendance records of both events.

Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show ran from October 16 to October 19 and featured a dedicated business area that hosted 5,590 professionals from 81 countries. The show is returning to Bangkok in 2026 from October 29 to November 1.

Thailand’s minister of digital economy and society, Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, said the government is committed to supporting the region’s video game industry and wants to see Thai-made games establish a foothold on the global market.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, president and CEO of Thailand’s Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA)—an advocacy group that supports the development of Thailand’s digital economy—said Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show can become a “platform for growth and collaboration” for developers in the region.

“This collaboration marks a new era for Thailand’s gaming ecosystem. It unites developers, investors, and players to drive innovation and elevate Thailand to global standards,” they added.

Speaking during the closing ceremony, Thailand’s minister of commerce, Ms Suphajee Suthumpun, said business negotiations conducted throughout the show generated over THB 1.22 billion ($37.3 million) in economic value.
