Let’s hear it for the girls: On Tuesday, December 2, L’Oréal Paris will take over the Academy Museum in Los Angeles to celebrate 10 amazing women at the 2025 Women of Worth Awards. This is the 20th year that the cosmetics brand has toasted community changemakers and awarded each of them with mentorship, visibility, and a $25,000 grant to continue their work.
Actor and activist Sophia Bush will host this year’s event, and beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, you can head to the Vanity Fair YouTube page to follow along with all the inspiring action in real time on our livestream.
Bush tells VF that she admires how this year’s needle-movers “blend heart and grit. They’re the women who see a need and don’t wait to be crowned an expert before addressing it. They dive in, in the spirit of service,” she says. “They are curious, relentless, and they do it all while leaving their ego at the door. They also understand the difference between being a savior and being a partner—which means elevating community voices rather than eclipsing them.”
“I want to be a megaphone for the goodness in the room,” she says.
Hosting the 20th iteration of the awards, “feels like a privilege and, frankly, a responsibility,” Bush says. “We’re living in a moment where it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the noise, the polarization, the heartbreak. But Women of Worth is the antidote to that. It’s a reminder that hope isn’t passive—it’s a practice,” Bush says. “Hope chooses to get in the arena again and again, and it’s built by people. Women show us how to build it.”
This year’s honorees include Yasmine Arrington Brooks, Amy Bowers Cordalis, Mizpah Brown-Rich, Keely Cat-Wells, Sloane Davidson, Lynn B. Hughes, Anita Ravi, Christina Rodriguez, Gloria Umanah, and Olivia Zhang, who have led efforts across health care, gender equity, education, and more, bringing light and helping their communities.
