Mariah Carey’s Christmastime celebration continues with a Waymo collaboration complete with in-ride listening of her latest album.

Hot on the heels of Mariah Carey’s announcement of a holiday livestream in collaboration with TikTok, Apple Music, and gamma, Waymo cars have been spotted getting in on the action. In Los Angeles, Digital Music News spotted a Waymo car decked out with the Mariah Carey wrap, advertising in-ride listening of the Queen of Christmas’ latest album.

The collaboration was hinted at in the livestream announcement, which we covered earlier in the week—but now it’s official. “If you spot a Waymo car with Mariah on it, take a photo! Thanks Waymo!” said Larry Jackson, gamma co-founder and CEO.

Mariah’s new album dropped via gamma, and now fans can enjoy selections from the release during Mariah Carey’s Here for It All Holiday Special, a livestream of her final performance of her Christmastime residency in Las Vegas. The performance will be available to watch on TikTok Live and Apple Music in HD on December 13 at 8 PM PT. Apple Music subscribers will be able to watch the show on demand after the stream.

“It’s time! Christmas is my favorite time of year, and I love celebrating it with my fans—whether they’re in Vegas with me or singing along on TikTok and Apple Music from home!” said Mariah Carey. “I’m so excited to bring all the sparkle and joy of the show to the world through Apple Music and TikTok.”

“To be able to bring Christmas together with sprinkles of her new album in partnership with TikTok and Apple Music is quite special,” added Jackson. “TikTok users globally will be able to watch the special live at 8 PM PT on the app, and Apple Music subscribers will be able to watch at that same time on their phone or on their TV in HD, too.”

News of the Waymo collaboration comes amid some snags for the self-driving taxi company. Waymo is issuing a voluntary software recall for its vehicles after multiple reports of cars passing parked school buses and “several close calls” in Texas, raising safety concerns.
