EDC Thailand is going strong, with a third edition gearing up for December 18-20, 2026, marking a shift from its previous January dates.

Global dance music experience curator Insomniac has announced that EDC Thailand will return for its third edition in 2026. The event will take place from December 18 to 20, marking a shift from its previous January dates. Beginning Thursday, January 22, at 7 PM PT, Insomniac is offering a limited-time presale starting at $229.

The announcement comes after this weekend’s festival, when fans experienced EDC Thailand’s electrifying playground, featuring world-renowned DJs, immersive art installations, rides, pyrotechnics, and a globally inspired soundtrack.

“We carefully considered the new EDC Thailand dates and hope these adjustments will make it easier for many of our festival travelers,” said Pasquale Rotella, Insomniac Founder. “Scheduling the festival in January posed challenges for some who had just returned home from holiday and New Year breaks, making it difficult to embark on another adventure just weeks after.”

“By moving EDC Thailand to December, we align the event with a time when many people already have time off, allowing families to plan trips together or friends to enjoy a quick getaway, all while ensuring they can return home for the holidays. Plus, the weather is a bit cooler during this time, which is an added bonus. We envision Thailand evolving into a premier destination for music enthusiasts, much like Ibiza and other music destinations.”

The third edition of EDC Thailand, with more details emerging soon, will build upon first-time additions that fans experienced at this weekend’s show. These included:

  • Hotel EDC Thailand: This weekend’s show featured the first Hotel EDC experience hosted outside of Las Vegas, in partnership with Angsana Laguna Phuket, a luxury beachfront resort located along the shores of Bang Tao Bay. Hotel details for the December 2026 show will be announced soon.
  • Downtown EDC: Making its Thailand debut, Downtown EDC in January 2026 featured fan-favorite activations such as Kandi Casino, Diva, and a new EDC Karaoke Battle. The experience featured two open-sided, Thai-style trucks where karaoke contestants faced off in high-energy showdowns.
  • Binary Beach: During the January 2026 show, Binary Beach offered a space for reflection, release, and flow, “inspired by the sea anemone, a creature that sways with the ocean current and glows beneath the surface.” Set to the rhythms of Thai music, the space symbolized resilience, beauty, and self-expression.

For the December 2026 show, Insomniac is introducing a new All-Access Experience Pass, granting entry to the Thursday Night Official Opening Beach Party and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday daily day parties. The pass offers an immersive way for festivalgoers to extend the EDC experience beyond the festival grounds. More details on these passes will be announced soon.
