Cowboys Headlines: Ohio State coming to Dallas? Jerry talks Super Bowl

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones took to the podium Wednesday, officially closing the door on the 2025 season and looked to enlighten fans on what to expect in 2026. One thing is certain, Jones the General Manager is here to stay till the end, but the front office is now willing to do things differently in an effort to get back to the mountaintop. That includes busting the budget and moving swiftly in the free agent market.

Negotiations have already begun with a few notable players which is a sign they are trending in a different direction. As far as their vacant defensive coordinator position, fans now know what they are looking for, even though the club has yet to set any interviews set up.

Offensive lineman Tyler Smith recently confronted the team about his future position, and their public answer doesn’t truly clarify his future along the offensive line. This year’s draft may have an effect on his position, even as experts are predicting Dallas goes defense with their first-round picks.

The coaching cycle as a whole has gotten off to a slow start as former Ravens coach John Harbaugh’s departure from Baltimore seems to have altered plans. With so many suitors, his landing may stall the domino falls. Ohio State defensive coordinator Matt Patricia is a name that’s recently surfaced as a candidate for the job.
