How Did Bad Bunny Get To The Benito Bowl? Watch His Musical Path To Greatness
Written by admin on February 8, 2026
And the Grammy goes to…
Hand on face, memories rushing like the Atlantic Ocean waves en Puerto Nuevo.
With thoughts of the 56,858 people in his hometown of Vega Baja, he set out to rep for when he got started, not knowing he’d end up reppin’ for all 10 million of his brothers and sisters and over 100 million more who identify with him at this very moment.
All that weight.
Hand on face, tears about to burst, el corazón a punto de salirse del pecho (with his heart about to burst out of his chest).
A decade since the first day.
Orgullo, dolor, alegría, tristeza, pride. pain, hurt, joy, alone, all by himself, with the whole world watching.
He probably thought of the Field Days at La Quiri, or his first talent show, or when he got that acceptance letter from CUA, or that moment when he said to himself, “I’m doing this, mi vida es la música.”
All of this while the world watches and waits.
You see? He’s not sitting at the beach toes in sand with the sun blazin’ while he writes his rhymes; he just heard his name being called at The Grammys for Album of the Year.
Best. Album. Of. The. FKN. YEAR.
For an album fully in Spanish, not at the Latin Grammys, mind you, but at The Grammys. Por un álbum en español, the language that could get even him a global superstar arrested, abused, and quite possibly shot.
Debí Tirar Más Fotos is Benito’s love letter to Borikén, the land known to most as Puerto Rico, and to the 4,632 people who had to leave his hometown due to colonialism since the year he picked up the mic. It’s estimated that 400,000 Boricuas have been displaced over the last decade. An archipelago in which the main island is only 100 x 35 miles.
That’s what we witnessed when his name was called. Yes, Bad Bunny won the Grammy, but Benito felt the love of his ancestors and his people.
…Bad Bunny.
De Pe FKN Érre.
Before the Bad Bunny Bowl or “Benito Bowl” (as Sunday’s Super Bowl event is known), here are 10 Bad Bunny joints for you to get familiar with El Conejo. Feel free to play these at your watch parties. All tracks are calle and dance-floor approved.

“Tu No Vives Así” with Arcangel, Dj Luian, and Mambo Kingz (2016)
Are you really a day oner? Yes, Diles was first, pero “Tu No Vives Así” fue su primer pálo. By the way, Bad Bunny and Arcángel go perfectly together like pastelillos y playa.
“Soy Peor” (2016)
Over a billion views. These are MCD numbers.
“Chambea” (2017)
Chambea huelebich… Still pre-debut album. Already crushing it in the streets and clubs in BQN and abroad.
“Estamos Bien” (2018)
His debut album era. Hoy sí que el conejo está bien. At the 2:58 mark, you can hear them beginning to spread their wings beyond trap and reggaeton.
“La Romana” feat. El Alfa (2019)
Pass me la hookah manín! La Romana feat. El Alfa. Peep the bachata sample in there and, of course, the beat change.
“P FKN R” feat. Arcangel and Kendo Kaponi (2020)
Sophomore slump? Tú estás loco? His YHLQMDLG era. This song’s a good reminder to be aware of your surroundings when you come visit Puerto Rico. Benito let ’em know where you’re from.
“Yo Perreo Sola” (2020)
Sometimes people just want to dance by themselves, and let ’em. “Yo Perreo Sola” is another female empowerment anthem from El Conejo. Let’s go!
“Dákiti” (2020)
El Ultimo Tour del Mundo. Can he go 3 for 3? Spoiler: He did. Talk your sh•t, Benito. Jhay Cortez rides this one like he’s skateboarding en Las Marías. Flyness all around. Oh yeah, we’re still dancing.
“Cantares De Navidad” (2020)
After YHLQMDLG, Benito continued to do whatever he wanted and closed El Último Tour Del Mundo with “Cantares De Navidad,” a medley of traditional Boricua Christmas songs performed by the legendary Trio Vegabajeño and Benito. Here you can see a glimpse of what was to come. Want to make abuelita happy? Play this next Christmas from Nov 1st to Jan 14th.
We’re already at 10 and that’s leaving joints out trying to keep this list short. Plus I’m trying to go to bed. Fk it let’s keep the party going…
…oh sh*t, Un Verano Sin ti era Bad Bunny. After dropping 2 albums in a year Bad Bunny took a year off to drop two albums worth of music; Moscow Mule, Titi Me Pregunto, Me Porto Bonito, Party. You can’t go wrong, and yet here are another 3 off that album.
“Después de la Playa” (2022)
Before making a new classic salsa record, Benito made a merengue classic. If you were outside you broke a sweat to this one. We can always figure things out.
“Callaíta” (2022)
She keeps her private life private, as it should. Porque es Callaíta. *You can grab your partner even closer now and get your dance on. A perrear se a dicho…
“Aquí Vive Gente” (2022)
From Plena to Dance all while letting you know how much he loves and appreciates Boricua women and how lovely our archipelago is. Ugh. Maldita sea, otro Apagón.

“Where She Goes” (2023)
Did you forget about me?
“NUEVAYol” (2025)
This is a deep album for the most part, but we’ll keep it on the light side. As usual, Benito keeps it balanced. His Debí Tirar Más Fotos era. Benito comes home. Well, we gotta stop at home first, then we go home home. Knawmen? Y este frío cuando se acaba!?
“WELTiTA” (2025)
Back in Borinquén now. You know we took the early flight in to go to la playita. Vente vamo’ a dar una weltita.
“LA MuDANZA” (2025)
Again, what don’t you get? Yo soy de P Fkn R. We’re not leaving. A new Salsa anthem for the ages.
“La Jumpa” with Arcángel (2023)
Welp, it’s last call. We gotta wrap it up before they turn on the lights. Here’s a bonus joint, let’s go full circle and back to where we started and practice our jump shot with another collaboration between los primos. Arcángel featuring Bad Bunny – La Jumpa.
Enjoy this Sunday’s Benito Bowl, aka Super Bowl LX.
