Last night’s red carpet gave us a lot to talk about. From dramatic feather looks to effortlessly glam, barely-there dresses, the stars (and their stylists) really stepped up for the music awards this past Sunday.

We’re positive these celeb-approved styles will be trending throughout the rest of 2026. Each award show’s red carpet has its own particular—often unspoken—dress code. For this particular one, the style was glam drama.

The biggest trend worn last night was definitely feathers. This style can be seen on Lady Gaga, Olivia Dean, Kesha, Tate McRae, and Tyla. They wore big, dramatic dresses with big, dramatic feathers either all over for the full show-stopping effect or trimmed on hemlines for a more subtle look.

Barely-there dresses and deep plunging necklines were another trend from last night’s musical red carpet. This look came in many shapes and sizes, but most of what was worn by the celebs was creamy shades that matched the singers’ skin tones, see-through flowy fabrics held together by delicate straps, and skin, skin, and more skin. Some celebs rocking this look were Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Kehlani, FKA Twigs, Michelle Williams, and Karol G

We also saw gothic accents incorporated in the stars’ looks that are reminiscent of the upcoming Wuthering Heights film. Whether it’s Bad Bunny‘s tux with its corset details or it’s the black high-neckline lacey dress with matching gloves worn by María Zardoya from The Marias

Last but certainly not least, we had plenty of coordinated looks last night among bands, duos, and groups. Effortlessly, these celebs showed up together, spotlighted their individuality, and created an entire vibe without wearing the exact outfit. No outright matching here, the groups wearing this trend were KATSEYE, the Haim sisters, Flo, Clipse with Pharrell Williams, and more.

With many looks taken straight off the runway, the next step in the trend cycle is to see ready-to-wear pieces inspired by them being sold by popular brands. Then, the everyday consumer (us) will be wearing them in our daily lives.

Of course, trends are always cycling. So, there’s no need to wait to replicate these red carpet looks.  Keep scrolling to shop styles inspired by the red-carpet trends we saw on the stars last night.

Red Carpet Trend: Feathers

2 Piece Pajama Satin Feather Trim Set

This pajama set (that can easily be worn outside the bedroom) actually captures two trends we saw on the red carpet: feathers and this shade of creamy pink that, at first glance, blends into certain skin tones.

Naked Wardrobe Butter Feather Minidress

For something more subtle, this mini dress from Naked Wardrobe is perfect. It features a fluffy feather trim at the neckline, a flirty strapless silhouette, and this classy deep wine shade.

Fluffy Feather Heeled Sandals

Give your look a dramatic feather touch with these soft pink strappy heels with a puff of feathers right at the toe.

Petal & Pup Dame Feather Trim Single Long Sleeve Midi Cocktail Dress

Perfect for a more formal occasion (a future red carpet, maybe?), this popular black cocktail dress from Petal & Pup has an elegant feather trim on its one sleeve and asymmetric hem.

Red Carpet Trend: Barely There Dresses & Plunging Necklines

Deep V Drawstring Long Sleeve Dress

The night was all about see-through soft fabrics that look like they blend right in, bodycon silhouettes, a soft champagne color, and extra-plunging necklines. And this Amazon dress captures all of it.

Jaded London Asteria Maxi Dress

This delicate dress features water-like fabric and a semi-sheer purple floral pattern with metal and stone straps holding it all together.

Y2k Crochet Open Back Halter Top

This top, with its crochet cream fabric, bikini-style halter silhouette, and a centerpiece gold accent, can be effortlessly styled for a glam night out or a casual day shopping.

1XBLUE Rosary Top

For a more elevated look, this top is true perfection. It features a lightweight metallic jersey fabric, a halterneck styling with boned sides, and a front cut-out held together by a silver chain and a cross pendant.

Red Carpet Trend: Coordinated Looks

Vintage Cream Lace Maxi Dress

We saw a certain K-Pop girl group wear coordinated white lace dresses, so we’re also wearing white lace dresses. The key to a semi-matching look is having affordable options, and this vintage-style lace dress from Amazon fits the bill.

Rhinestone and Sequin Formal Dress

Another easy option for a coordinated look? Designs that are easy to find in different styles. For example, this formal black dress with silver rhinestones and sequin accents.

Cap Sleeve Square Neck Dress

Shades that we’ve seen trending on and off the red carpet are the colors teal or cobalt blue. Last night, we saw coordinated looks with different styles of dresses, but with matching cobalt blue hues.

Pink Velvet Blazer

We saw plenty of women on the red carpet wearing a menswear-inspired suit and a certain trio rocking the velvet pink matching set. Whether it’s to the office, a date night, or a casual brunch moment, this pink velvet blazer already has us obsessed.
