‘What’s the Word’: KATSEYE x Pandora Drop New Line of Mini Charms for Eyekons & Everyone Else

Pandora itself dates back to 1982, when the brand first opened in Denmark, eventually launching its now-iconic charm bracelet to Danish consumers in 2000. Once Pandora made its way to the U.S., it was in hot demand for more than a decade. Loyal fans lined up for new drops, charms routinely sold out, and custom bracelets became a shorthand for personality. If you were around in the early-to-late aughts, you probably remember seeing at least one on nearly every wrist you passed.

Like many direct-to-consumer brands, Pandora eventually lost some momentum amid a crowded market and the rise of competitors (like Alex and Ani) and cheaper alternatives on third-party sites. But a major rebrand in 2019 helped put the company back on track.

The group just wrapped a sold-out tour, dropped a new song, “Internet Girl,” partnered with 5 Gum on a campaign that flew off shelves almost immediately, and is now gearing up for major festival appearances at Coachella and Lollapalooza later this year.
