Sony Music Publishing announces signing a global publishing deal with award-winning breakout star BigXthaPlug, who has quickly established himself as a powerful storyteller. With his unmistakable Texas-rooted sound, BigXthaPlug has earned widespread acclaim across rap, hip-hop, and country.
His latest album, I Hope You’re Happy, which reached #2 on Billboard’s Top Country and Top Rap Album charts, features collaborations with powerhouses like Luke Combs, Ella Langley, Thomas Rhett, Jelly Roll, and Shaboozey. His single “All the Way” with Bailey Zimmerman hit #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the first track to claim #1 spots on both Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs and Country Songs charts simultaneously.
On November 21, BigXthaPlug surprised fans with his brand-new single, “Cold,” featuring Post Malone, released in tandem with the deluxe version of I Hope You’re Happy.

This year, he was recognized as Billboard’s Country Power Players Innovator, Variety’s Hip-Hop Disruptor of the Year, and XXL’s Best New Artist of the Year. He also received a BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Award for “Mmhmm,” and Best New Artist nominations at both the iHeartRadio Music Awards and BET Awards. In 2024, he was named Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist and became a member of XXL’s Freshman Class.
