H3C MegaBook: New Microsoft Surface Pro rival debuts with 120 Hz OLED display and fanless Intel Lunar Lake option

On the face of it, the H3C MegaBook is a regular Lunar Lake system offered with Core Ultra 5 226V or Core Ultra 5 228V processors. Additionally, the 2-in-1 offers a 59 Wh battery with a keyboard and stylus accessories to mirror the Surface Pro. According to H3C, the MegaBook contains a 14-inch OLED display that combines a 2.8K resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Surprisingly, the H3C MegaBook runs not just Windows 11 but also MegaOS, an in-house Android 14 fork designed for x86-based systems. Moreover, the entry-level Core Ultra 5 226V edition is fanless despite sharing the same processor cores, TDP and iGPU as the Core Ultra 5 228V. Nonetheless, the MegaBook is said to be the first passively-cooled Lunar Lake laptop. Currently, the H3C MegaBook starts at CNY 5,999 (~$841) and rises to CNY 7,999 (~$1,122) with a Core Ultra 5 228V, 32 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD. There is no word on global availability yet, though.
