Debbie Stroud, CEO of national fast food chain Whataburger, shared her expertise with Starr’s Mill High’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club.
Stroud spoke about her background, her previous jobs, and what her journey to becoming a CEO was like. She also dialed in on Whataburger and its mottos, values, expectations, and the importance of the people that make the company a success. Stroud also gave out autographed copies of the May 2025 QSR magazine where she was featured on the cover and Whataburger water bottles and coupons.
The mother of one of the FBLA chapter’s officers knew Stroud from when she lived locally and arranged the unique encounter for the club.
FBLA club sponsor Jeff Klein jumped at the opportunity for the students to hear from a major business leader.
“I hope the students were inspired to try new things and saw how her persistent efforts led to her success.”
