It would be nice if Spotify had a “don’t show this artist” on podcasts. I listen to one Joe Rogan episode (the Bourdain one; rest in peace), and it’s forever stuck on my recommendations like some plague.

level 2

I’ve never listened to Joe Rogan ever, and he is on the front page of Spotify every day.

Yeah, I’ve been trying to block Oasis for years.

I worked at a Subway during lunch shift in college and Wonderwall would play 4 times in a 2-hour stretch for months. Don’t give me hate, I’m scarred.

Artists too. There are a few musicians similar to my tastes who get recommended that I sincerely hate musically and morally

Dude I literally have never listened to a podcast in my life… not one. The top of Joe’s peanut head is on my home page literally every time I open the app.

I have an iPhone so I use the Apple app for podcast instead. I like to keep my music and podcast separated, plus I feel the Apple app is so much better for things like that.

Yeah im shocked that isnt a feature. I can’t tell you how many times i have went to try and block an alt right or toxic star wars podcast.

Thank god you said this. I thought it was just me living this pain

level 2

Same. Went back and listened to the Trevor Moore ep, RIP. I’m not interested in any other of his shit.

They have, but it’s a two step process. First cancel subscription, then uninstall.

It would be nice if Spotify had a “don’t show podcasts” option.

level 2

They still have r kelly when they said they pull.

level 2

It’s basically why I avoid podcasts entirely.

Well, tbh I just don’t enjoy podcasts at all for the most part, for pretty much the same reason I’m not a fan of talkback radio.

This headline is misleading. Mr. Young asked Spotify to pull his music. Spotify’s response was “We regret Neil’s decision to remove his music from Spotify, but hope to welcome him back soon.”
