Elmhurst Blotter: Several propane tanks reported stolen from three businesses

The following items were taken from area police department reports and news releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.
Burglary
Tools were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle at Timothy Christian Schools, 1061 S. Prospect Ave., around 10 a.m. Jan. 20. The suspect drove away eastbound on Butterfield Road.
A daughter reported on Jan. 21 that three people had stolen jewelry from her mother’s bedroom on the 400 block of North Highland Avenue. She said one person distracted her mother while two other people entered the residence.
Cannabis
Marco Iracheta Hernandez, 24 of the 2300 block of North 77th Court, Elmwood Park, was cited for unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, possession of open alcohol by a driver, speeding and driving with an expired driver’s license at 9:04 p.m. Jan. 19.
Esteban Gutierrez, 20, of the 2300 block of North Kostner Avenue, Chicago, was cited for unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver at 11:56 p.m. Jan. 19.
Teresa Scales, 40, of the 600 block of Legends Drive, Carol Stream, was cited for disobeying a stop sign, possession of cannabis by a driver and driving without insurance at 8:29 p.m. Jan. 22.
John Leggin, 32, of the 4800 block of West Gladys Avenue, Chicago, was cited for unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver at 9:30 p.m. Jan. 24.
Criminal trespass
Eric Lofgren, 27, of the 300 block of Home Avenue, Oak Park, was charged with trespass and violation of bail bond at 1:37 p.m. Jan. 22.
Disorderly conduct
Shaquita Jones, 38, of the 700 block of Prescott, Roselle, was cited for disorderly conduct at 12:06 p.m. Jan. 22.
DUI
Cory Goldman, 36, of the 1100 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, Vernon Hills, was charged with driving under the influence, unlawful possession of cannabis, driving without insurance, possession of open alcohol, driving with expired registration and driving the wrong way at 11:54 p.m. Jan. 20.
Jaylin Lomeli, 20, of the 1100 block of Arthur Avenue, Berkeley, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding, improper lane use, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia at 2:24 a.m. Jan. 21.
Josif Ndrio, 61, of the 3800 block of 25th Avenue, Schiller Park, was charged with driving under the influence, illegal transport of open alcohol, improper lane use and driving without insurance at 12:04 a.m. Jan. 22.
Fleeing/eluding
Sebastian Galvez, 23, of the 300 block of West Park Avenue, Addison, was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding at 10:39 p.m. Jan. 24. It is alleged that he drove away from an attempted traffic stop in Elmhurst at a high rate of speed but was then stopped by Bensenville police.
Identity theft
A resident reported on Jan. 23 receiving a collection agency letter about a past due Direct TV account which he didn’t open.
Purloined pizza
A resident reported that a pizza she ordered was mistakenly delivered to the wrong address, a construction site, about 1 p.m. Jan. 21. A construction company representative told police there were several workers on the site and they did not know where the pizza went.
Theft
Two carts full of liquor and other items were taken from Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St., between 11:30 p.m. and 11:40 p.m. Jan. 19 by suspects described as two heavy Black females and one tall skinny Black male.
Four tires and rims were reported taken from a vehicle at Elm Creek Apartments, Elm Creek Drive, between 6:30 p.m. Jan. 22 and 8:50 a.m. Jan. 23.
Three eight-gallon propane tanks were reported taken from a steel cage behind Rotating Equipment Specialists, 421 W. Wrightwood Ave., between Jan. 11 and Jan. 24.
Eight propane tanks were reported taken from a gated area behind A J Manufacturing Co., 449 W. Wrightwood Ave., between 5 p.m. Jan. 20 and 10 a.m. Jan. 21.
Five eight-gallon propane tanks were reported taken from a locked cage at the back of Woodworx Supply, 922 N. Oaklawn Ave., between Jan. 2 and Jan. 24.
Several fire exit signs were reported taken from the fifth floor of The Willows, 255 S. West Ave., between Jan. 1 and Jan. 25.
An Apple watch was reported taken from a package delivered in the 300 block of South West Avenue between Jan. 17 and Jan. 25. The recipient noticed the package had been opened and resealed.
Traffic
Dayrin Velasquez, 26, of the 5200 block of South Homan Avenue, Chicago, was cited for driving without insurance at 11:09 p.m. Jan. 20.
Deshan Wilder, 35, of the 700 block of West Liberty Drive, Wheaton, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and speeding at 9:17 p.m. Jan. 21.
Osbaldo Carrera, 29, of the 200 block of North Addison Road, Villa Park, was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without insurance at 1:34 a.m. Jan. 23.
Torsheill Hibbler, 35, of the 1000 block of Linden Avenue, Bellwood, was charged with driving with registration suspended for non-insurance, driving without insurance and driving with a suspended driver’s license at 1:05 p.m. Jan. 23.
Alex Estrada-Vasquez, 33, of the 400 block of Park Street, Bensenville, was charged with driving with a revoked driver’s license, unlawful possession of open alcohol by a driver and driving without insurance at 4:11 a.m. Jan. 23.
