Cyber Monday is coming to a close, but there are still plenty of great deals to be had – if you act fast. One of my favorite gaming mice is still being sold at a great price for the next few hours: get the Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed for $37.99 (was $69.99) at Best Buy.

I used the Logitech G502 Hero for many years. It was one of my all-time favorite gaming mice, but it was always just a little too heavy for my liking (it weighs 121g without any of the optional weights added in).

Switching from the G502 to a lightweight mouse like the Razer Cobra Pro (77g) was night and day for quick sweeping motions (think turning 180 degrees in Counter-Strike), but I found myself missing the cozy embrace of the G502’s thumb rest. I also wanted something just a little heavier for everyday use.

That’s where the Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed comes in. It takes all the best parts of both mouse designs and combines them into one: a slightly lighter design (110g) than the G502 with a texturized thumb rest and fantastic performance for a wireless peripheral.

You can crank the DPI up to 18,000, though I don’t think you’ll ever realistically get there. I hang out around 800 to 1,600 depending on what I’m doing, and going much higher than that feels overkill. But if you’re limited on desk space, or you want the best possible performance you can squeeze out, a higher DPI makes sense.

The Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed also has an unbelievable battery life at up to 535 hours on a single charge. I can use mine for a little over a week without it dying on me, and that’s between hours of gaming and everyday browsing usage.

It does use a single AA battery, which doesn’t feel quite as premium as something built-in and rechargeable. But for under $50 during Cyber Monday sales, that’s far from a bad trade-off.

And of course, if you have to have that shiny RGB, the scroll wheel is Chroma-enabled, so you can add that touch of personalized flair to your setup.
